Tim: Ok I read that link. You see why it doesn't make sense is because if I try to make it crash by actually unplugging the network cable, it doesn't crash. I can unplug/plugin the network cable as much as I want and InDesign doesn't crash. So that leans toward it NOT being a network connectivity issue. Tim: There is no network issue here. This is an InDesign issue. As a customer of Adobe, I expect support for this InDesign issue.

Tim: That is an unacceptable company policy. Please escalate this issue to the next level of support. Tim: That is unacceptable. Please escalate this issue to the next level support. I will not accept your answer.Ībhishek: If you are able to open/work on ID files stored locally that means ID is working just fine.Ībhishek: We do not offer any kind of support in case of network issue. Is it a company policy. Tim: That doesn't make any sense man. Don't you think a team would want to use Adobe products over a network? Tim: Are you serious? THat is the worst answer I've heard in a LONG time. We are in 2015 here. We use networks.Ībhishek: Unfortunately we don't have expertise on network/serverĪbhishek: Because of why we are unable to help you.Ībhishek: You have to check with IT team in your office Tim: We have 15 Dell workstations. 3 of them are T1700s. They are all accessing files on the same network and only the T1700s crash indesign. All other workstations work fine.Ībhishek: Are you able to access the files stored locally ?Ībhishek: We do not suggest/offer support files saved on network Please review my chat with Adobe support below and let me know if you have any suggestions on how we can make it work on the three machines:Ībhishek: Hello. Welcome to Adobe Technical Support.Ībhishek: Please allow me a moment while I look into your account & verify the details.Ībhishek: I can see you are facing issue with ID crash correct ?Ībhishek: You are getting that error message while accessing a file stored on a network correct ? I have contacted Adobe support and am very frustrated with them. They made a good effort and tried tweaking power management settings in the NIC but since only Adobe InDesign has a problem, they are pointing the finger at Adobe. Trying different network cables and placing the machine at different physical locations.Ĥ.
ADOBE DRIVE CC INSTALL
Clean install of OS and making sure latest drivers and BIOS are installed. The currently the problem only happens on Three Dell T1700 workstations. I'm working with a team of about 15 people and copying files locally is really not very nice. It seems Adobe is not willing to help just because we are opening files over a network.
